CloverdaleCarol

There is no shortage of actors shouting “Humbug!” onstage this year, but here’s one more sample:

Scrooge is coming back to Cloverdale, in a return engagement of  Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol,” which played to near-capacity audiences last year.

Steven David Martin (above) stars as the old miser, who has trouble getting a decent night’s sleep, what with all the spirits coming and going.

The production, directed by Jim de Priest, plays the Grange Hall Theatre, 201 Commercial St., for performances at 7 p.m. Dec. 11-12 and 18-19, with a matinee at 2 p.m. Dec. 13.

Doors will open 30 minutes before curtain time with refreshments and crafts available before and after each performance and during the intermission.

Tickets are available at the Mail Center, 207 N. Cloverdale Blvd., at $10 for general admission and $5 for students and seniors.  For information or reservations call  894-2214 or  email Scrooge@CloverdalePerformingArts.Org
