Rounds

“Hank Williams: Lost Highway,” starring Tahmus Rounds as the king of country crooners, has been playing to full houses and standing ovations since it opened Jan. 8 at the 6th Street Playhouse in Santa Rosa’s Railroad Square.

The run was scheduled to end Feb. 7, but the Playhouse has added three more performances, at 8 p.m. Feb. 11-13.

The play, co-written by Mark Harelik with Sebastopol native and Tony Award nominee Randal Myler,  captures both the comedy and tragedy in the singer’s short life and career, and also packs in more than two dozen classic country tunes.

A hot live band and a supporting cast that features local theater veterans Mollie Boice and John Craven, not to mention an eye-catching set design by David Lear, make this show one you won’t want to miss.

Tickets  cost $15-$35. The 6th Street Playhouse is at 52 West 6th Street, Santa Rosa.  Information: (707) 523-4185, www.6thstreetplayhouse.com
