The once-popular upscale cocktail lounge on Courthouse Square, Upper Fourth, will come back to life later this spring under a new name and new ownership.

The second-floor cocktail lounge above Flavor Bistro, will reopen as Christy’s on the Square in late April or early May, said new owner Amos Flint, a Santa Rosa contractor.

He envisions a sophisticated place for the over-30 crowd.

“We’re going to keep it really classy,” Flint said. “I think there’s a real need in this town for that.”

The plan is to serve cocktails and some food, but not to stage live music, Flint said.
