For more than a decade, Janey Hirsh and the American Dream Theatre have been producing original musical comedies at a steady pace.

The West Sonoma County troupe opens “The K-9 Caper,” its new “comic mystery with music,” April 30 at its current home, the Graton Community Club, 8996 Graton Road, Graton.

As the poster shown above demonstrates, the company retains its homegrown sense of fun. (An earlier version of the same picture has the cat saying, “The Chihuahua did it!”)
