The Teen Ensemble of the Imaginsts Theatre Collective, headquartered in Santa Rosa’s A Street arts district, has created a new play titled “The Dream Boat,” opening at 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 13.

Set aboard a cruise ship bound for Hawaii, the play features mystery, mayhem and missing persons, not to mention supernatural encounters, disco dancing and synchronized swimming (without a pool).

The teens worked with Imaginists Executive Director Brent Lindsay to create a theme, and from that they created characters and a storyline.

“The Dream Boat” also runs at 7 p.m. Jan. 14-15 and 21-22  at The Imaginists Theatre Collective Studio, 461 Sebastopol Ave., Santa Rosa.

Admission: $10; $5 for students and seniors. Tickets are available at the door only. Arrive 20 minutes before show time.  Information: www.theimaginists.org.
