'Ancient Spirits' by Gerald Huth

One of the well-known artist names in Sonoma County over the past few decades is sculptor and collage-maker Gerald Huth of Forestville.

And his reputation goes well beyond that. Huth has had 15 solo shows in Europe, including Paris, Berlin, Vienna and several cities in Switzerland.

The Sebastopol Gallery is currently showing some of his sculptures inspired by the temple columns of Egypt.

You can hear about the work from the artist himself when Huth delivers s talk titled,  “A New Dimension in Collage/Sculpture,” at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 25, followed by a question and answer period, at the gallery.

The Sebastopol Gallery also continues to exhibit work by jeweler Joann Lustig and photographer John Hanses through Feb. 27.
