Bottle Shock

Bottle Shock, a Sonoma County quintet with an Americana flavor and a style of its own, will perform at 7:45 p.m.  Thursday, March 10, at the Auburgine Vintage Eporium and Cafe, 755 Petaluma Ave. Sebastopol.

The party will celebrate the release of the band’s new CD, “Edge of the Crowd,” recorded at Studio E, near Sebastopol.

The band plans to play three sets, so there’ll be plenty of music.

The group has been together for six years and the lineup features: Bob Appleby, guitar and vocals; Michael Haworth, guitar, pedal steel and vocals, Alan Watt, mandolin, lap steel and vocals; Jeff Martin, bass, and Shawn Britton, drums and percussion.

The band name, by the way, is not taken from the movie of the same name. A couple of the members have worked in the wine industry.

The $10 cover charge includes a free CD.
