Here’s a play festival designed for today’s busy people. You’ll see half a dozen new works and still have plenty of time left over.

Each show lasts roughly 10 minutes.

The Redwood Writers Play Festival will showcase the winning entries from its first playwriting contest.

The plays are: “Martha” J.R. Brady; “Compassion” by Nancy Lockard Gallop; “A Better Story” by Laura McHale Holland; “Dying Secret” by Elaine Maikovska; “I Can’t Remember” by Maureen Mary Studer; “Offing the Witness” by Natasha Yim.

The program will start at 7 p.m. Friday, April 29, and 2 and 7 p.m. Saturday, April 30.

The venue is on private property in Cotati, so you’ll get directions when make reservations at (707) 484-4153 or www.redwoodwriters.org.

Admission, including wine and snacks: $20; $35 per couple.
