Help raise money for the 117th annual Rose Parade and Festival, and see a classic film made in Santa Rosa, at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 28, at the Roxy 14 Stadium theater in downtown Santa Rosa.

The “Support Your Local Parade” fund-raiser features a screening of the 1943 thriller “Shadow of a Doubt,” directed by Alfred Hitchcock and scripted by playwright Thornton Wilder and starring Teresa Wright and Joseph Cotton.

The film was shot here in 1942, and is set in Santa Rosa. The story follows a young woman (Wright) who begins to suspect her favorite uncle (Cotton) is a serial killer.

Tickets cost $10 per person for the movie and reception.

Proceeds go to support the Luther Burbank Rose Parade, scheduled for Saturday, May 21.

The Roxy will show “Shadow of a Doubt” free all day on May 21.
