Sonoma County residents are using to seeing the monumental steel sculptures of Boback Emad.

His “Shadows of Eternity,” stands at Thyme Square, 301 S. Cloverdale Blvd. in Cloverdale. His “Whole Some” is a familiar sight at College and Mendocino Avenues in downtown Santa Rosa.

This month, French art lovers are getting a good look at his work.

His first European solo show, “Memory: Windows into Remembering,” opened April 8 and continues through Wednesday, April 20, at the Cloître des Billettes in galleryParis.

The show includes a sculpture 25-feet high in courtyard, as well as 10 smaller pieces.

Emad was born in Ohio and currently divides his time between his primary studio in Santa Rosa and his atelier in Paris.
