Khalil Shaheed and Mansa Musa

The Healdsburg Jazz Festival and the Healdsburg Center for the Arts will present Khalil Shaheed and Mansa Musa in two benefit concerts for the festival. at 7 and 9 p.m. on Saturday, April 30.

Both shows will be at the Healdsburg Center for the Arts, 130 Plaza St., Healdsburg.

Tickets cost $25 for each concert, and avaiable at 431-1970 or healdsburgjazzfestival.org.
Shaheed, a longtime Bay Area jazz musician and bandleader, has performed with Buddy Miles, Jimi Hendrix, Taj Mahal and John Handy. He also has been featured as a jazz soloist with the Oakland East Bay Symphony Orchestra.

Mansa Musa is his multi-member combo, which integrates the music of the West African nation of Mali with jazz.
