The new Local Folkal gallery and shop opened in Cloverdale without fanfare in mid-April, but this weekend the artists’ co-op is raising its profile.

There will be a grand opening celebration Saturday, May 21, at the gallery, 117 N. Cloverdale Blvd.

The gallery has some 30 member artists who make paintings, prints, jewelry, ceramics, fabric art, photographs, fused glass, metal sculpture and more.

Also featured are purveyors of locally produced  olive oil, honey, gourmet vinegar, organic apple juice and small-batch gourmet cookies.

Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday.
