The Sonoma County Repertory Theater was forced by budget woes to close its Main Street Theater in Sebastopol last February.

But the company’s annual Sebastopol Shakespeare Festival lives on.

Shakespeare Napa Valley and Sebastopol Shakespeare have joined forces to present two productions this summer.

“The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged)” will run July 1-17 at Ives Park in Sebastopol and July 26-28 at Veteran’s Park in Napa.

Shakespeares’s “Much Ado About Nothing” will run July 22-31 at Veteran’s Park in Napa and Aug. 5-21 at Ives Park in Sebastopol.

Jennifer King, formerly of the Sonoma County Rep and now at Napa Valley College, is the artistic director for both events.
