Sting

Sting will celebrate his 25th anniversary as a solo artist this fall with his “Back to Bass Tour,” which includes a Dec. 2 performance at the Nob Hill Masonic Center in San Francisco.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 26,  at ticketmaster.com and livenation.com.

The tour features Sting, backed by a five-piece band, performing his hits in a series of small, intimate theater venues. The songs will be “stripped down and raw,” promoters promise.

“Sting: 25 Years,” a 3-CD boxed set will be released Sept. 27, and “Sting: The Best of 25 Years,” a single disc, will be released Oct. 18.
