This time of year, there are holiday arts, crafts and gift fairs everywhere.

And then there’s the Wooden Toy Show.

The Mendocino Coast Furniture Makers’ third annual exhibit features puzzles, games, pull toys and rocking horses, all made of wood, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily  Dec. 1-31 at the Mendocino Art Center, 45200 Little Lake Street, Mendocino.

This is not a conventional display of goods. These people are artists, and they’re serious.

Founded in 1997, the furniture makers’ association is dedicated to the preservation and evolution of the fine art of furniture making, and now, toy making.

There will be an artists’ reception 5-8 p.m. Dec. 10.
