Riverdance

Fans of traditional Irish step dancing won’t want to miss the first “Riverdance” performances at 4 and 8 p.m. Wednesday at Wells Fargo Center for the Arts in Santa Rosa.

Because they also will be the last.

After 17 years, the stage celebration of Celtic culture is on its farewell tour, with the very last performance scheduled for June 17, 2012, at Wolf Trap Foundation for the Arts in Vienna, Va.

The show has played more than 10,000 performances, seen live 22 million people in more than 350 venues in 40 countries.

Tickets to the Wells Fargo Center performances cost $55 to $75 for the evening show, and $45 to $65 for the afternoon show.
