Santa Rosa stand-up comic Juan Carlos will make his first national television appearance Thursday, Jan. 5, on the Discovery Channel series, “I Almost Got Away With It.”

The show will run at 6 and 9 p.m. on Comcast channel 804, Direct TV channel 285 and Dish Network channel 192.

The comic will host a screening at 9 p.m. Thursday at the Sweet River Grill and Bar, 248 Coddingtown Mall, Santa Rosa. Information: (707) 526-0400.

The comedian has performed in clubs in Santa Rosa and around the Bay Area, including the Purple Onion in San Francisco.
