Ever feel low on a Thursday night? What you need is Courage.

Santa Rosa songwriter and singer John Courage and the Great Plains band perform at 8:30 p.m. Thursday, March 8, at Christy’s on the Square, 96 Old Courthouse Square, Santa Rosa.

Blasted Canyon and Burnt Ones also will perform.

Courage started his musical career in Santa Rosa, moved to Sante Fe, N.M., for a year and a half, and then moved back in 2010.

After his return, Courage told us, “The singer-songwriter scene here has really exploded.”
