“Marriage Is Murder,” a comedy by Nick Hall about divorced mystery writers reuniting to co-author a screenplay, opens Friday, March 23,  in Guerneville.

Performed by the Pegasus Theater Company, the show is directed by Nancy Hansen. It  runs through April 7 at the Rio Nido Lodge, 4444 Wood Road.

Robert Bauer and Lois Pearlman co-star as Paul and Polly Butler, the fictional creators of a popular detective character named Miss Charlie.

The Butlers have gone their separate ways, not amicably, but agree to collaborate on a film script, acting out their story as they write.

(The production originally was scheduled to open March 16, but was postponed to let Bauer recover from a strained back.)

Show times are 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays. There will be two shows, at 2 and 8 p.m., on Saturday, April 7.

Admission: $15-$20.

The play also is scheduled for a performance April 24 at Oakmont.
