First the opening of the Pegsaus Theater’s March production of “Marriage Is Murder” was delayed a week by leading man Robert Bauer’s back injury.

Now the production, co-starring Lois Pearlman, has been canceled because Bauer is ill, said Frances Werner, Pegasus Theater board member and production manager.

Werner said the company hopes to stage the two-person play at some future date, and plans fund-raisers to make up some of the production costs, since there will be no ticket sales.

“While this show can’t go on right now, we will be offering ‘Norman, Is That You?’ by Ron Clark and Sam Brobick as originally scheduled from May 11 through June 10,” Werner said.
