Dmitri Matheny

The Dmitri Matheny Group, featuring guest tenor saxophonist Dave Ellis, will perform Saturday, April 28, at a benefit concert for the Healdsburg Jazz Festival.

The show will include two sets and starts at 7:30 p.m. at the Healdsburg Center for the Arts, 130 Plaza St., Healdsburg.

Matheny has been lauded as “the first breakthrough flugelhornist since Chuck Mangione” by the San Jose Mercury News. His band also includes Matt Clark on piano; Seward McCain on bass; and Deszon Claiborne on drums.
