Acting on my lifelong belief that teaching is an art form, I’m using this ARTS blog as a platform today to ask for help with my current story project:

Not everyone liked school, but all of us can remember at least one teacher who made a big difference in our lives.

The Press Democrat would like to hear about the teacher who changed your life.

Tell us not only who it was (and when and where it was), but also what he or she did or said that has stayed with you all your life. What inspired you to wise decisions and good deeds?

Send your stories by May 15 to Dan Taylor at The Press Democrat, P.O. Box 910, Santa Rosa, CA, 95402. Or email dan.taylor@pressdemocrat.com.

Be sure to include your contact information, in case we need more details.

We’ll use the best stories for a forthcoming feature.
