Chris Hillman

A whole lot of rock ‘n’ roll history, all packed into one man, will take the stage in Fort Bragg soon.

Singer and songwriter Chris Hillman, a founding member of the ‘60s folk rock band, The Byrds, will perform with singer and instrumentalist Herb Pederson at 8 p.m. Saturday, May 26, in Cotton Auditorium, 500 N. Harold St.

In 1964,  Hillman was one of the original members of The Byrds, which also included Roger McGuinn, Gene Clark, David Crosby and Michael Clarke.

Hillman, a Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, went on to work with the Flying Burrito Brothers, Manassas and the country rock band Desert Rose.

The show is a benefit for the Mendocino Coast Hospital.  Tickets cost $25 in advance and $30 at the door.
