Buddy Guy

One of Sonoma County’s favorite annual events is the B.R. Cohn Charity Events Fall Music Festival, scheduled for Oct. 6-7 this year at the B.R. Cohn Winery in Glen Ellen.

The perennial stars of the show are the Doobie Brothers, long managed by the winery’s owner, Bruce Cohn, but the winery also has hosted many other top names in pop music.

This year’s lineup:

Saturday, Oct. 6 — Doobie Brothers and friends,  blues star Buddy Guy in his first appearance at B.R. Cohn, the Turtles, Lara Johnston, Scars on 45 and other artists to be announced.

Sunday, Oct. 7 — Doobie Brothers and friends, Kenny Loggins, Eric Burdon and the Animals, Dave Mason, the Turtles, Tyrone Wells and Pat Simmons Jr.

This year’s festival will honor the memory of Michael Hossack, the longtime drummer of the Doobie Brothers, who died earlier this year.

The weekend also includes the Gala Charity Auction Dinner and the Celebrity Golf Classic.
