No wonder artists love to portray the human figure. The source material is always readily available.

A landscape artist has to drive out to the beach or up to the mountains,  but there is always some body around.

“Go Figure,” the new exhibit at the Healdsburg Center for the Arts, opens Thursday, Aug. 2, and runs through Aug. 27.

The exhibit includes figurative images ranging from classical to whimsical in style, in paintings, assemblage, collage, metal, photography, glass, clay and fiber art.

Hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, with a reception for the artists scheduled from 5 to  8 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, at the center, 130 Plaza St, Healdsburg.
