Mary Gannon Graham in 'Shirley Valentine'

Mary Gannon Graham’s reprise of the one-woman show, “Shirley Valentine,” about a middle-aged English housewife searching for freedom, gets another turn onstage this month.

Main Stage West, 104 N. Main St., Sebastopol, will run the show from Jan. 25 through Feb. 17.

Admission: $10-$25. Information: 823-0177, mainstagewest.com.

Graham previously starred in sold-out runs of the show during 2008 at the old Sonoma County Repertory Theater (now the home of Main Stage West) in Sebastopol, and in 2011 at the Cinnabar Theater in Petaluma.

To quote my own review of her 2008 performance of “Shirley Valentine” at the Rep:

“If there’s only one actor, it had better be the right one. When the one chosen is Mary Gannon Graham, a dynamic performer since her early shows at Santa Rosa Junior College in the ’80s, all is well.”

And to quote the fictional Shirley, on the subject of her husband: “He’s not bad, my fella. He’s just no bleedin’ good.”
