The WordTemple Poetry Series will present Swedish poet, novelist and literary historian Kjell Espmark, and Dana Gioia, Sonoma County poet and former chairman of the National Endowment for the Arts, in a reading Saturday, April 13, in Sebastopol.

The program starts at 7 p.m. at the Sebastopol Center for the Arts, 282 S. High St., Sebastopol.

A former professor in comparative literature at University of Stockholm, Espmark has published 13 volumes of poetry.

Goia, who has published four poetry collections, will read from his newest one, last year’s “Pity the Beautiful.”

Kennedy Petersen, Montgomery High School student and winner of Sonoma County’s “Poetry Out Loud” competition, will open the event.

The WordTemple Poetry Series is run by poet Katherine Hastings, host of the WordTemple” program on KRCB-FM.
