Toad the Wet Sprocket

After disbanding in 1998, and reuniting to tour from 2006 to 2010 and record in 2011, the California rock band Toad The Wet Sprocket is out on the road again.

The quartet — singer Glen Phillips, guitarist Todd Nichols, bassist Dean Dinning, and drummer Randy Guss — will perform Sunday, April 14, at the Mystic Theatre, 23 Petaluma Blvd. N., Petaluma.

Named for a fictional band from a ‘70s spoof by Monty Python’s Eric Idle, Toad The Wet Sprocket made five studio albums from 1989 to 1998, which sold a total of more than four million copies.

Alternative/indie recording artist Jessie Payo will open the show at 8 p.m.

Admission: $36-$41.
