So Pablo Picasso and Albert Einstein, both young and not yet famous, walk into a bar…

That is the premise of the Steve Martin play, Picasso at the Lapin Agile.

The Experiential Theatre Company will open the show at 8 p.m. Aug. 8 on the Rotary Stage in Andrews Hall at the Sonoma Community Center. 276 E. Napa St., Sonoma.

Directed by Gerrett Snedaker, the production stars William “Rusty” Thompson of Santa Rosa as Einstein and Nestor Campos Jr. of Fairfield as Picasso.

Performances will continue through Aug. 25 at 8 p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays, and 2 p.m. Sundays.
