Montgomery Village in Santa Rosa plans two free concert series

The Montgomery Village shopping center in Santa Rosa will open two free, live outdoor concert series this month, both running until early October in the center’s Village Court area. And before the two series start, the center opens the season May 18 with a “Veterans Appreciation Day,” 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. with live music by the Poyntlyss Sistars. Kathleen McCallum Gallery opens in Montgomery Village with more than 20 artists

Santa Rosa photographer, arts activist, event organizer and former art teacher Katheleen McCallum will celebrate the opening of her art gallery with a reception from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25. Enjoy a daylong free celebration of music and visual arts at the Fine Arts Festival at the Village, running from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 13-14, at Mongomery Village in Santa Rosa. Rodney Crowell comes to Copperfield’s

Singer and songwriter Rodney Crowell, former husband of Roseanne Cash, is also an author. He’ll be in Santa Rosa to talk about his new book, “Chinaberry Sidewalks,” at 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 4, at Copperfield’s Books in Montgomery Village. Osprey Orielle Lake speaks at Copperfield’s
