Bluegrass and Folk Festival set for March 14 in Sebastopol

The Sonoma County Folk Society will present its 15th annual Bluegrass and Folk Festival from 1 to 9 p.m. Saturday, March 14, in Sebastopol. The lineup includes Si Kahn, Anne and Pete Sibley, the Kathy Kallick Band, Steep Ravine, Bean Creek and Dan Crary, Steve Spurgin and Bill Evans. Doors open at noon at the Sebastopol Community Cultural Center, 390 Morris St., Sebastopol. Admission: $30 in advance; $35 at the door. Information: 823-1511, seb.org.

Sebastopol solo show salutes pioneer folksinger

“Precious Memories,” a stage work in progress written by community organizer and folksinger Si Kahn, will be performed by Sue Massek of the Reel World String Band at 8 p.m. Saturday, March 2, at Main Stage West, 104 North Main St., Sebastopol. Si Kahn appears at Sebastopol fund-raiser

Singer, songwriter activist and recording artist Si Kahn — newly named writer-in-residence by Sonoma County’s Heritage Music Theatre — will appear at a fund-raiser for the theater company this weekend.
