For local opera fans, the Sonoma County Chapter of the San Francisco Opera Guild has planned a rare treat.

David Gockley, executive director of the San Francisco Opera, will appear in an onstage conversation with tenor John Duykers of Sebastopol at at 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 9, at the Schulz Museum, 2301 Hardies Lane in Santa Rosa.

Admission: $20.
