The lineup for this summer’s Healdsburg Jazz Festival will include “Celebration of the Blues,” a two-day mini-festival May 31-June 1 at Santa Rosa’s Jackson Theater.

The festival within a festival will star blues harmonica virtuoso Charlie Musselwhite of Geyserville and jazz saxophonist Joshua Redman.

The overall Healdsburg Jazz Festival, which runs from May 30 to June 8 at venues in and around Healdsburg, will feature jazz bassist Ron Carter and his quartet, the Marcus Shelby Orchestra and the Healdsburg Jazz Festival Freedom Jazz Choir, pianists Bill Charlap and Renee Rosnes, salsa singer Poncho Sanchez and his Latin Jazz Band, and others.
