Actor and writer Charlie Varon, known for his long-running solo satire “Rush Limbaugh in Night School” in San Francisco, is coming to Santa Rosa with another one-man play.

Varon stars in “Rabbi Sam” at 8 p.m. Saturday, June 26, at the Congregation Shomrei Torah synagogue, 2600 Bennett Valley Road in Santa Rosa.

“Rabbi Sam” tells the story of a man who wants to reinvent American Judaism, and the congregation that hires him. The new rabbi draws mixed reactions from the members of his congregation, and Varon plays all 12 characters.

Tickets cost $50 and must be bought in advance.  None will be sold at the door. To reserve tickets or get more information, call (707) 578-5519 or go online at www.shomreitorah.org.
