Mark Growden — a Bay Area composer, musician and performer with a theatrical flair —performed music from “Saint Judas,” his first new studio album in eight years,  last May in Santa Rosa.

And now he’s coming back. The show starts at 8 p.m. July 30 at the North Bay Film & Art Collective, 99 Sixth St.. Tickets cost $10.

He’ll also perform at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 6 at the Infusions Teahouse, 6988 McKinley St., Sebastopol. No cover.

Growden’s band includes bassist Seth Ford-Young, guitarist Matt Boisen, cellist Alex Kelly, percussionist Jenya Chernoff and Chris Grady on trumpet. (Several of them have worked with Tom Waits.)

The composer has worked with top Bay Area dance companies, including the Joe Goode Performance Group, The Crucible and Alonzo King’s Contemporary Ballet.
