Pamela Gray

Sebastopol screenwriter Pamela Gray will speak on “Having Conviction — A Screenwriters Survival Guide” at the Redwood Writers meeting Sunday, April 10, in Santa Rosa.

“Conviction,” of course, is just one of Gray’s major screenwriting credits. The film, starring Hilary Swank and Sam Rockwell, came out last year.

Her other credits include two 1999 releases: “Music of the Heart,” which earned Meryl Streep an Oscar nomination, and “A Walk on the Moon,” with Diane Lane and Viggo Mortensen.

The Redwood Writers session will be held from 2:30 to 5 pm. at the Flamingo Hotel, 2777 Fourth St., Santa Rosa.

Admission: $5 for members; $8 for nonmembers.
