The ninth season of the Symphony Pops Series, presented by the Santa Rosa Symphony and Wells Fargo Center for the Arts, will open Oct. 27 with “The King of Swing: Benny Goodman at the Symphony,” with guest clarinetist Ken Peplowski.
The four-concert season, announced this week, also includes:
Dec. 15 — “A Very Merry Holiday Pops,” featuring the Santa Rosa Symphonic Chorus, with more than 60 voices.
Feb. 23 — “Three Phantons in Concert,” with Broadway tenors Mark Jacoby, Gary Mauer and Craig Schulman singing Broadway tunes. Each has played the title role in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “The Phantom of the Opera” on Broadway.
April 27 — “The Return of the Classical Mystery Tour: A Tribute to the Beatles.”
All of the concerts will feature the Santa Rosa Symphony, led by Michael Berkowitz. All four concerts are on Sundays, starting at 3 p.m., with a pre-concert talk at 2 p.m.
Season tickets are available now, ranging in price $109 from $255. Single tickets go on sale Aug. 5 for Wells Fargo Center for the Arts members, and Aug. 23 for the general public. Prices run from $32 to $80.
