SmallBut

The pictures in this art show only measure 8 by 10 inches, but there are 100 of them.

That’s why this exhibit of new work by Sonoma Valley High School art students is called “Small But Great Works.” It opensĀ  Friday, April 9, at the Arts Guild of Sonoma, 140 E. Napa St., Sonoma.

Small blank canvases were distributed to the students through a program sponsored by a grant from the Plein Air Foundation. The finished works will be on display through the end of April.

Also during April, the Arts Guild of Sonoma will display paintings, jewelry, sculpture, mixed media work and more by two dozen of its member artists.

Gallery hours are 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Thursday through Monday. Closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Information: 996-3115, www.artsguildofsonoma.org.
