Sausalito author and former magazine publisher Leda Sanford will talk about her recently published memoir, “Pure Moxie,” at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 7, at Copperfield’s Books, 140 Kentucky St., Petaluma.

In 1975, Sanford became the first woman publisher of a U.S. magazine, she says — the Manhattan-based “American Home,” with a circulation of more than one million, at a time when women rarely occupied corner offices.
