Celtic harpist Chris Caswell performs in Occidental

Fans of Celtic harpist and harp-maker Chris Caswell will not want to miss his concert, “A Harper’s Yuletide,” at 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 16, at the Occidental Center for the Arts, It’s a rare Sonoma County appearance by Caswell, who learned to play the harp in Scotland in the early 1970s, during a six-month stay there after high school, and eventually went on to establish a national reputation as a musician, craftsman and teacher. ‘Donkey Barn’ artists exhibit in Occidental

More than 20 artists who met weekly during the mid-‘90s for weekly painting sessions have gathered to stage a reunion exhibit opening Friday, Aug. 5,  at the Occidental Center for the Arts Gallery. The artists met at member Elizabeth Ryder Sutton’s studio, better known as the Donkey Barn, which also became the group’s name.
