Fans of Celtic harpist and harp-maker Chris Caswell will not want to miss his concert, “A Harper’s Yuletide,” at 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 16, at the Occidental Center for the Arts,
It’s a rare Sonoma County appearance by Caswell, who learned to play the harp in Scotland in the early 1970s, during a six-month stay there after high school, and eventually went on to establish a national reputation as a musician, craftsman and teacher.
Caswell settled in Sonoma County during the ‘80s and ‘90s, and became a familiar presence in the Russian River area, before moving to Oakland and setting up shop in Berkeley.
Address: 3850 Doris Murphy Court, Occidental.
Admission: $15.
