Out on the Russian River, the decade-old Pegasus Theater Company, long known for its dedicated core of independent-minded stage directors, is opening a new production of “Driving Miss Daisy” this Friday (July 10).

But the show’s director, Nancy Hansen, worries that Pegasus fans may not know where to find the play.

Having lost its lease on its longtime home at Monte Rio’s community hall, Pegasus is performing this time at Guerneville Community Church, 14520 Armstrong Woods Road, Guerneville.

Despite the move, Hansen promises a powerful presentation of Alfred Uhry’s drama about a Southern woman and her black chauffeur, starring Lois Pearlman as Miss sDaisy and Arnold House as Hoke (shown above).

The show runs through Aug. 1. General admission costs $15, and Friday’s gala, including champagne and a buffet, costs $35. Call the box office at 522-9043,  or visit the web site at pegasustheater.com.
