John Prine

Tickets go on sale at noon Friday, Jan. 29, for John Prine’s April 11 concert at Wells Fargo Center for the Arts in Santa Rosa.

The singer-songwriter has composed a long list of great songs, including “All the Best” and “Angel from Montgomery” (and my personal favorite, “Let’s Talk Dirty in Hawaiian”).

You may know Prine from his own Grammy-winning recordings, or from versions recorded by Bonnie Raitt, Johnny Cash or George Strait, but as soon as you hear one of his songs, you know him.

Simply put, anybody who can write a line like “There’s a hole in Daddy’s arm where all the money goes” is not to be missed.
