Remember the 1965 hit “Time Has Come Today” by the Chambers Brothers? That psychedelic soul sound is hard to forget.

Lester Chambers, former lead singer of the Chambers Brothers, moved to Petaluma a few months ago, and he’ll perform with his own band at 8 p.m. Friday, June 25, at the Dance Palace, 503 B St.,  Point Reyes Station.

In addition to Chambers Brothers hits, his show includes the blues songs of Otis Redding and Wilson Pickett, and “People Get Ready” by Curtis Mayfield.
