Toad in the Hole, the English-style pub in Santa Rosa’s Railroad Square, has been busy throughout the World Cup soccer tournament, with fans watching the games on the telly, says co-owner Paul Stokeld.

“It’s just been packed,” he says.

So, for the finals on Sunday, July 11, Stokeld plans to move the party outdoors for a block party on Fifth Street, to be closed between Wilson and Davis streets.

“We’re closing the street down for fun and frivolity,” Stokeld says with a laugh. “We’ll have a big tent with a big-screen TV out there. It’s a big family event with two live bands, barbecue and raffles.”

There’ll even be a big inflated jumping platform for the kids.

The free event starts at 9:30 a.m., with the game at 11:30 a.m.

Toad in the Hole is at 116 Fifth St., Santa Rosa. Information: thetoadpub.com, 544-8623.
