Dave Alvin

Roots rock pioneer Dave Alvin makes a solo appearance at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 31, in Sebastopol.

The Grammy-winning singer, songwriter and guitarist is best-known for his ‘80s work with the bands The Blasters (with his brother Phil) and X.

Alvin plans to tour the United Kingdom next month  with his current band, The Guility Ones, followed by  concert dates in the southern and western U.S.

The Sebastopol show is a benefit for Nonesuch School. The event includes a silent auction, and dinner and drinks will be available for purchase.

Doors open at 5:30 p.nm. at the Sebastopol Masonic Lodge, 373 N. Main St., Sebastopol. Music starts at 6:30 p.m. with Sonia Hunter and Erik Thompson.
