Not all of the interesting art is in the big museums. One of the more active local venues for exhibiting work by local artists is the Plaza Arts Center on Healdsburg Plaza.

Plaza Arts Center will host a juried, all-media showcase, titled “Running the Gamut, ” from Jan. 5-31, with an opening reception  at the gallery from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Jan 8 .

The exhibit features 11 local artists working in oil, acrylic, watercolor and collage:  Gerald Anderson, Ron Bean, Stacia Brady, Marshall Coyote, Donna Demoss, Pauline Levy Lazzarini, Tim Montesonti, Marjorie Murray-Cortez, Judie Cosmo Peterson, Ron Silveira and Jim Zimmerman.
