Mystery Photo No. 9: 'Sonoma County pump house?'

Lynn Prime, Sonoma State University’s Digital Projects Librarian, has come up with some easy archival photos for the public to help her identify. And some tough ones.

This is one of the tough ones:

Mystery Photo No. 9, “Sonoma County pump house?” (Carpssu_503)

“This image was taken by Robin Freeman in 1974. We think it may be a pump house, and we assume it’s in Sonoma County, but we know nothing more about it,” Prime said.

Prime is working her way through some 850 photos, taken during the ’70s by students in the college’s historical preservation course. She has stored about 300 in the digital archives so far.

Details on many of the photos are sparse. So, Prime is reaching out to the public through our “Mystery Photo” series to get some more background on the pictures.
